Why am I graphic designer?
I started on this adventure when I used to express my ideas on the pavement outside our house or the living room walls! Eventually, this led to filling up many sketchbooks. My sketchbook was full of ideas that led from initial concepts to the finished project – a design process I still live by today.
_____
Something that started so simple has led me on this adventure. I have had the opportunity to work with some creative individuals in numerous industries: newspaper design, digital print, architectural, engineering, construction, and healthcare, pharmaceutical.
As a designer, I am always learning new processes and passing on some of that knowledge.
The foundation of my designs starts with my knowledge of color theory, design principles, and typography. My influences are the blues seen in shadows, the smell of cut grass, the sound of the ocean breaking, mountains towering high.
Graphic design is about problem-solving and communicating a message. Without graphic design, the world we live in wouldn't be so accessible.
